TECNIE NETWORLDS

The onset of technology has changed the lifestyle vista of the people around the world. From the same mien, innovators are still pursuing, and seemingly, man has gradually survived in coping with the limitations innate with him. Now, we consider, as an era when technology RULEZ!!!!!!……

The year 1983, set the bulwark of momentous developments. It is when wireless telephones had been introduced, where now we call “cell phones”. It’s no doubt, that its one of the conquerors that had still survived. Evan in the economic struggling society, no one could be seen without his gizmo. As it is quoted, “it’s a wonderful gadget not just for the wise, for the old, for the young and teenagers, for the businessman….it is for everyone”. It could be for communication of the important matters to the latest outfit of your daily life.

From the latest news, one of the biggest names with regard to gadgets like cell phones had just recently introduced a dual-sim phone. Samsung D880 Duos cell phones has made possible to apply two sims in just a phone. The following are its features:

DUAL Sim Phone

FM Radio

3 megapixel Camera

Bluetooth(Stereo Headset)

Music player

Expandable Memory

Triband

samsung-d880-duos-dual-sim-card-phone.jpg

As Samsung’s main expertise, when it comes to phone design, is clearly in the slider format. From a reasonable distance, the D880 resembles an older Samsung slider such as the D500 or D600 and considering that the thickness is 18.9 mm it feels very similar too.

The main attraction of the DOUS is obviously the DUAL-SIM feature. Unlike the traditional DUAL-SIM solutions, which only ran one sim at a time, in it, it is made possible that the DOUS both sims are active while in standby mode. It means that you ca receive messages or calls from either SIM at any point without having to switch off ad restart the handset. Furthermore, compare to the Dou-sim phone introduced by an Arabian traveler(?), yet two phones packed in one or a back-to-back phone, the former might be sure to appeal t business related personnel and travelers looking for this kind flexibility.

samsung-duos-sghd880-dual-sim-card-phone.jpg

Even with the advancement of the DUAL-SIM capabilities, the rest of the features packed into the sold Samsung phone make for the compelling reading. In the package you get a 3.15 mega pixel camera which rather impressively has both auto focus and flash, ensuring that the images will be on a far with the majority of medium-quality camera modules of a similar spec.

As well as this, you get Bluetooth 2.0, a micro SD slot and USB 2.0 compatibility. Couples these with the decent camera and you end up with a handset that is of a similar spec to Samsung’s award winning D900 (aside from the DUAL-SIM capability and slight “tubby ness”).

Thus, this D800 of Samsung is sure to be an excellent choice for being capable to use two sim cards at the same time. So even if you maintain separate numbers for your professional and personal life or travel between places of varying coverage, you will be never out of touch. A thin cell phone with a sim card in it would fit this busy world. (The following feature of the D800 Samsung has been adapted to ph.samsungmobile.com ad www.articlesbase.com/cell-phone-articles/samsung-d899-dous-preview-double-trouble-311494.html.)

How to Learn HTML and Java Script Easy (CoffeeCup Software)

I’ve been using coffeecup software seen last year when i discovered that it’s really amazing how simple to create website in just a few clicks and with its very user-friendly coding style. I learn about coffeecup when my wife accidentally downloaded the installer of coffeecup in her computer in the office and save it in her flash drive and one day when I am looking for a software tool to use in my class having teaching ce102 (computer education II “Basic HTML Programming”) I saw this coffeecup software and out of curiosity i just installed it and try to find out what’s this software all about and when I start exploring and clicking on its code editor and preview button i was amazed with its very simple and neat way go between the code and output of your html program it is like a “code and go software” that whatever you put in between the <body> </body> tags then click the preview button it automatically show the output and “whoa” there your output is. And one thing more it has this visual editor that is wysiwyg (”What You See Is What You Get”) option that you’ll just put anything on its visual screen it, modify it whatever it automatically reflects on the code and on the output with a very easy to understand source code, You’ll really get surprise with its approach it’s that simple. I recommend it for beginners, advance or even expert.

CoffeeCUp SotwareIt really saves my butt teaching the rudiments of HTML and web Development. I myself could not even imagine that I’m still learning more by using the CoffeeCup HTML Editor, what can any HTML book could provide when you have this wonderful software in your side, it’s like a book, a multi media instructional software plus a web software in one, “amazing isn’t it”. With this web software i does not require you to be knowledgeable with HTML programming, Java Script, DHTML, whatever, it’s the one to educate you with this languages. It’s so simple that my students in ce102 didn’t even image that they’re already doing HTML Programming and Java scripting.

So i think as more people were exposed to the Internet, more people wanted to be a part of it. They would definitely ask for a Coffee imaging how his cat or dog had a web blog of its own and made Web pages and got it ‘online’.

Now I’m not a coffee addict anymore instead a cup of CoffeeCup everyday in my class and in my website in what I’m addicted for.

Computer in information society

THE industrial technology has reached its zenith; information is advancing rapidly dominated by computers, data communications and highly skilled individuals who use brain power. Today you can send and receive vital information in writing…in just…seconds- Fitzgerald and Denis. As what Fitzgerald and Denis stated on their book, knowledge or information that can not be disseminated is of zero value. But how can this knowledge are shared to another? Communication as the mainstream of information age is the key for this phenomenon. Communication according to Martinez is a two way process by which information is exchange between or among individuals through a common system of symbols, signs and behavior. Another of significance is the statement of Ballesteros defined communication as a key advancement in continuing to learn things more accurately and effectively. The first definition signifies the important perspective of communication in the area of two evolving agents, the encoder and the decoder. In our history, our ancestors had their own way of expressing their thoughts and feelings. They make sounds, carved symbols in caves and sometimes on the branches of trees; they make some drawings, paintings, stenciling, engraving, sculpturing, signaling, clay tablets, until some present generations discovered and invented the new way of communicating to make their life more comfortable and easy. These inventions give rise to printing, typewriting, use of telegraph, phonograph, television, cellular phones and the bloom of computers and that was the effect of disseminated knowledge.
Computer era

Computer is a highly emancipated product of intellectual being and is one of the utmost device or machine that allows information at its speed movement. Computer as what our professor had said is a data processing machine that does three things: accepts, structure inputs, processes it according to prescribe rules and produces the result as outputs. And its ultimate goal is to disseminate knowledge. It is friendly and easy to operate. What matters most that you have to be open-minded and open to all tricks of this device. Computers in our history started from these different modes of computing device. We have the use of Abacus developed in China, Napier’s Bone developed by John Napier, Oughtred’s Slide Rule developed by William Oughtred, Pascal’s Calculation introduced by Blaise Pascal, Liebniz’s Calculator introduced by Gootfried Liebniz, Babbage Analytical Engine introduced by Charles Babbage and Hollerith’s Punch Card Machine introduced by Herman Hollerith. After grasping brief information of computer, let’s break down the role of computer in communication of today’s society.

Computer- communication We are now living in a world of information and technology. Information was transmitted rapidly and in low cost. But what is the role of computer in communication of today’s era? Computers are really of great value and significance if it is use in right way. Today we use computers in many ways. It has general purposes but sometimes limited per se. Computer is widely use in business, education, and legal matters, in government, commercials, military and many more. First, we have to extract the role of computer in education. We are aware that through communication we can transmit information and knowledge. Our teachers transfer information in communication and also we do express our thoughts through communication, computer is being used as a medium of instruction; say for example the use of multi-media. We have also of what we call distance learning or education wherein students are studying without meeting their professors but through computer. This is really of great value for those who are busy. And also with the aid of information highway or Internet, we can do several researches and has the ability to link in different libraries and different methods of locating printed information. We have also what we call E- mail wherein you can send and receive message in an instant or seconds unlike the use of snail mail that can be receive it in how many weeks or days. This is not just for education only but also important to all users. Computers are being used also as an Electronic Date Interchange or the paperless transmission between companies of orders, invoices and other business documents. We are also allowed to have an immediate contact with all other companies or people and to use business information in a timely manner. We can shop from their posted ads via internet. This value of high speed communication brings the sender and the receiver closer together in time.We have also Tele-conferencing where people from diverse geographic location can “attend” a business meeting in both voice and picture format. Broad band computers are in toady. Another is what we call Groupware, is software that helps group of people to exchange ideas, debate issues, make decisions and write results without actually charging to meet face to face. Computer is also a grate way on the access of entertainment. There are a lot of things that a computer can do in communication but this is but few of them. Computers can reduce time, effort; cost required and can perform various tasks. Sometimes there are a lot of people say that computer is a great hindrance to us but I disbelieve on this notion. Computers as they said can pollute the minds of children because of pornography and violence it provides. But this is not the fault of computers, it is the users. Users should be aware of the rules of net etiquette to eradicate these unwanted outputs. Computers can not do things of its own; their intelligence is artificial as compared to human as rational and is knowledgeable of his actions. But we should not be over powered by this artificial intelligence. Remember that man created computers and let this computers be not of our masters.

computer_literacy.jpe

Being literate is a kind of especial achievement that can gain in such different things. Most especially when it comes to computers and gadgets that affect most of the lives of every individual. Literacy in the field of computer is a tough one for others. Let’s go back first to the computer’s users before on how they view the literacy in computer before. According to Felix Alban who is a computer major, before, the computer literacy in the Philippines is very low. Filipinos are craving for these things but due to some factors that hinder to get and have even computer training and little knowledge in computer is very hard to grasp.

elementary-computer-literacy.jpg

When we say “literacy” it is concerned with the learned, knowledge or being erudite of an individual in a certain field. Nowadays, the Philippines in one of the developing country among Southeast Asian. Since it’s still one of the developing countries, it needs to be function and more high in technology at this time. We can’t deny the fact that we are in this world or age of computers. Most of the Filipinos are now working through computers for them to be literate in this field. As the time goes on, we are still here ad not even chase the unexplainable track of technology. Computers have a very wide influence to us. As being influenced by these, we are still benefited for some important matters. We can’t deny that. Although sometimes, we can’t even imagine that it’s easy to grasp for it. Literacy here in the Philippines is now on the verge to a more competent and more systematic in terms of using computer.

elementary-computer-literacy-2.jpg

Today, we are now living in the modernization of many things. That’s why we need to pursue to for the cause that we can be literate in the fields of computer.

Computer in such a different way of using can make us more literate and more advance in technology. The Filipinos want to have a better and more just living with the help of computer. To have those things that most of us wants, we need to be patient enough to reach the peak of the mountain.

Literacy in English language and in computer is the most and good quality that we can give through service in our country. We tend to look for a computer job for us to be trained and become a literate one in the fields of computer. Through computers, we work most for our own good. At the same time, we are teach on how these gadgets can help us and make us more establish individual. Most of us are looking forward for this. And now, the computer literacy in the Philippines is inclining. It is because of the wills of everyone to learn and be benefited by it.

Google PageRank Explained(By:www.smartpagerank.com)

· How many links do you need to get a certain pagerank?

· PageRank as explained by Google

· PageRank Technology

Factors that can increase your Google PageRank

Now the Google PageRank algorithm can be very complexed, but yet friendly invention. Here is a list of things that could help boost you Google PageRank, with a rating scale beside it of how important we think it is.

  • Update Pages Frequently 2/10
  • Add Pages Frequently 4/10
  • Good Neighborhood Directories with high PageRank Levels 7/10
  • Monster Websites 7/10
  • Quality Inbound links 8/10
  • Quality Relevant Links 9/10
  • No Broken Links 5/10
  • Article Submissions (this can increase your PageRank by getting more inbound links)
  • All these put together 10/10

Factors that can decrease your Google PageRank

  • Bad inbound links such as Poker, Porn, Sex, Drugs, or anything to that nature
  • Link spamming
  • Bad Content
  • Lots of broken links
  • SEO Black Hat Techniques

How Google PageRank is Calculated

Okay now we are to the Google PageRank Calculations, this is very simple so pay attention, I learned it over night, not really. The factors about Google PageRank Calculation is that no one knows exactly how it works, but people have discovered over time somewhat how it works, but lets get into an example.

PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + … + PR(tn)/C(tn))

Above is a Google PageRank algo. that was released in the development of Google algo. Thats right the actualy algo equitation . Which google is not telling us what it does, but that does not matter because the equatation is good enough.

In the equation ‘t1 - tn’ are pages linking to page A, ‘C’ is the number of outbound links that a page has and ‘d’ is a damping factor, usually set to 0.85.

A more simpler way to think of it is:

a page’s PageRank = 0.15 + 0.85 * (a “share” of the PageRank of every page that links to it)

Share = The linking page’s PageRank is divided by the number of outbound links

A page “votes” an amount of PageRank onto each page that it links to. The amount of PageRank that it has to vote with is a little less than its own PageRank value (its own value * 0.85). This value will be shared equally between all pages

Therefore; it would be better to get a page linked to you that has a PageRank of 5 with 2 outbound links then it would be to have a page linked to you with a PageRank of 8 with 500 outbound links, but don’t get me wrong. It would be better to have both pages linked to you, but if you was to take your choice, think about it.

Now the Google PageRank algorithm is based between a pr of 1 to 10, but many people believe that numbers are set to a algo logarithmic scale. Which there is a very good reason to believe this, but no one knows for sure outside of google, now there has probably been people that have figured it out somewhat, but to be sure, you would of had to write the Google PageRank algorithm your self.

Who invented the Google PageRank Algorithm

Google PageRank was developed at Standford University by Larry Page, and Sergery Brin. This was part of a research project for these two individuals. The project was started in 1995 and then was led to a functional prototype. In 1998, Google was founded.
