Multimedia, is the presentation of information using text, sound, pictures, animation, and video. It includes games, learning software, and reference materials, such as encyclopedia. Most of it includes predefined associations, known as hyper links that enable users to switch between media elements and topics. Computers are useful in many ways: learning process, games, business, military operations and other works.

For students, completing their classroom assignments is important to past their requirements of their subjects. Computers make learning more enjoyable by the help of sounds, graphics and animations. It is the main reason why computers are important for the students. They also use computers for long distance learning process. The students
don’t need to go to school for studying their lessons. They just have a simple click to get their materials of instructions.

The larger, sharper an image is, the harder it is to present and manipulate on a computer screen. Photographs, drawings, and other still images must be changed into a format that the computer can manipulate and display. Such formats include bit-mapped graphics and
vector graphics.

Multimedia has had an enormous impact on education. For example, medical schools use multimedia-simulated operations that enable prospective surgeons to perform operations on computer-generated “virtual” patient. Similarly, students in engineering schools use
interactive multimedia presentations of circuit design to learn the basics of electronics and to immediately implement, test, and manipulate the circuits they design on the computer. Even in elementary schools, students use simple yet powerful multimedia
authoring tools to create multimedia presentations that enhance
reports and essays.

Communicating to others in different places in the country or other areas in the world is also important for the students to be in touch of their love ones.

In other hand, computer is not only for their educational processes. It is also for entertainment. Electronic games are very popular in our times. Teenagers are the usual costumers of every computer shops near schools. All the time, students are inside their shops to have play: college students, high school and even elementary grades.

Because of electronic games and online games, the focus of students on their studies was lessening. They spend much of their time playing computer games. That’s also a reason why many students skip in their classes.

Computers are very important in our daily living. It is useful in all our works to make it easier and faster. But, we should use it in right time, place and cause.
